GIF Viewer

If you download and open a GIF image, you may find yourself with Internet Explorer or another web browser on your screen, because the default Windows Photo Viewer doesn't support this format. If you don't want to open GIF animations with your web browser, then you should try GIF Viewer. This simple image viewer provides full support for GIF animations and it allows you to convert your images to other formats.

The application is absolutely free and you can have it up and running in no time, on any popular Windows platform. Its impact on a computer's performance is unnoticeable and it does not ask for additional tools or services.

You can load images in GIF or other formats, using a standard Open dialog. Once you load an image, you can use a few options, located on the left side of the interface, to perform a series of actions, like saving, printing or rotating the image and so on. You can also find options for restoring GIF animations and for editing the loaded image in Paint.

GIF Viewer can create thumbnails as well. It allows you to save them in a folder of your choice, in GIF, PNG, JPG or other formats. Additionally, loaded images can be converted immediately, just by selecting a format in one of the top menus. Another useful feature is the possibility of uploading pictures to Imageshack or other file hosting services, which can be selected in the general settings menu.
